O.K! So you know there are four members in Ghostt. You can also hear that Ghostt does credible RNB music. How did they form? How long have they been together? Where are they from? Etc Here is everything you need to know about Ghostt:
Ghostt is made up of Nico Blue, twin brothers Phoenix & Trix and J Triple X. Blue and the Twins are from South London and J is from East London. J, Blue and the twins each have the same identical GHOSTT tattoo on their right arm. The symbol embodies the unity between the four members and represents all of their struggles, regrets & tragedies in life and this career they have chosen.
They formed in 1998 but were friends for a number of years prior to that year. It was at a talent show in the West End, where Blue and J bumped into the twins after they came off stage to a thunderous applause after their vocal performance. The name Ghostt came about after the guys set up a studio complex in conjunction with Leon Forbes a.k.a. Blinx. Sadly, Blinx tragically died in 2003 (R.I.P), however Ghostt continued to fly the flag for what he strongly believed in: "unity amongst brothers and unity in the streets through the love of music."
Ghostt double up as a live band. Trix plays the drums, Phoenix plays the guitar and J Triple X plays the piano. The boys are heavily influenced by early Motown, late 80s and early 90s soul music, Latin music, jazz fusion & blues. Its hard for them to be more specific because they listen to a vast variety of artists in varying styles of music.
Their performance credits include MOBO 2003 Unsung Finalist (2nd place), Sultan of Brunei & his daughter Hamida, Lebanon Couture Festival in Beirut (televised to over 20 million people). Radio Credits include Choice FM, Radio 5 Live, 1Xtra, Radio One and Kiss FM. Ghostt write and produce all of their own songs, they also own a production outfit called Wolf Entertainment. The outfit produces music for very select projects.
The name Ghostt can be interpreted in a number of ways including "you can try to stop us in life, but you cannot stop us in spirit". The two Ts in Ghostt are meant to stand for good luck! The lads are surprisingly fun-loving, happy go lucky sort of guys, quite down to earth in fact. All things aside, the guys would like to big up Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Lethal Bizzle, Sway and Kano for taking the frontline in the UK Hip Hop and Garage/Grime scenes respectively. Ghostt is now taking the frontline for UK RNB.
